Three semi-final wins at World U23s

Sophie Hosking, in the lightweight women’s single scull, the men’s pair and the lightweight men’s pair were all semi-final winners today at the World U23 Championships taking place in Hazewinkel, Belgium.
All three crews will now compete in tomorrow’s finals alongside the already-qualified women’s quadruple scull and the men’s coxed four.

Although not semi-final winners today, the lightweight men’s four and Adam Freeman-Pask in the lightweight men’s single scull were good enough to book passage to tomorrow’s finals with third and second places respectively.

Alex Gregory, of Reading University, missed out by two seconds in finishing fourth in his semi-final and now races a B Final tomorrow.

In the B Finals which were staged today the women’s pair were winners whilst the men’s four were third.
