Top five double for lightweight single scullers
Ruth Walczak and Jamie Kirkwood took fourth and fifth places respectively in their lightweight single scull finals this afternoon.
Making their world cup debuts here, both were in contention for the first 1300m before slipping back slightly off the pace.
The women’s final was won by Canada’s Jaclyn Halko and the men’s by New Zealand’s Duncan Grant.
Korea, hosts in August to this year’s World Championships in Chungju, had success with Ji Yoo Jin winning silver in the women’s race and Lee Hakbeom taking bronze in the men’s final.
