British rowers nominated for Sportswomen of the Year Awards
Helen Glover and Heather Stanning have been shortlisted for the 2014 Sunday Times and Sky Sports Sportswomen of the Year Awards, and need your votes to win!
The GB Rowing Team duo had an imperious year in the women’s pair, winning gold at the World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam with a World’s Best Time.
This season also saw Helen become the first woman in British rowing history to hold the Olympic, World and European titles for the women’s pairs at the same time.
The vote is now open for the British public to vote on the final four candidates for Team of the Year 2014, with Helen and Heather up against the England cricket team, the England rugby union team, and the GB 4x100m athletics relay team.
The online voting process will close at midday on Tuesday 11th November, with the winner revealed at the Awards ceremony on November 19th – broadcast live on Sky Sports.
