GB Paralympic Rowers to Race at Paris 2024 Course
Great Britain’s Paralympic rowers are heading to Paris and will be some of the first international athletes to race on the course for the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The GB Paralympic squad are racing at the Para-Rowing Regatta to Paris which takes place from 2-3 July 2022 at the Olympic nautical stadium of Vaires-sur-Marne.
Nick Baker, Paralympic Head Coach for the GB Rowing Team said: “We are only two years away from the Paris Paralympic Games and this will be the squad’s only opportunity to race the Paris course before they line up at the Games for the biggest races of their careers.”
“We have had a good start to the season, with all athletes returning from racing at both Gavirate and World Cup 1 with medals. Unfortunately, due to illness, we will not race the PR3 Mix 4+ or the PR3 pairs events – Benjamin, Callum and Lauren will race in their respective single sculls events and Dan and Annie are back in the PR3 mixed double scull looking to target the podium.”
