Allianz Sports Fund open to affiliated British Rowing clubs

Clubs affiliated to British Rowing can apply for grants of up to £3,000

The Allianz Sport Fund 2023 has opened, and through our insurance broker Howden and their partnership with Allianz, we are pleased that once again we are able to extend this fund to affiliated British Rowing clubs.

Clubs are able to apply for grants of up to £3,000. Last year Ardingly RC were successful recipients of the grant, allowing them to purchase a pair of floats to increase accessibility for rowers with balance issues, as well as two new buoyancy aids.

“As a small club with limited resources, every donation is much appreciated. The Allianz Sport donation directly improved our safety and inclusivity at the club. We are trying to offer practical solutions to barriers to rowing – floats are a simple and effective example of this, as is wearing a buoyancy aid for our vulnerable scullers.” – Ardingly RC

Clubs will need to supply specific information when applying – this is so Allianz can verify that all applications come from an affiliated club.
