Great Britain to race at Holland Beker regatta 2023
11 GB Rowing Team athletes are travelling to Amsterdam to race at the Netherlands’ most renowned international regatta, the Koninklijke-Holland Beker, which will take place on Saturday, 24 and Sunday, 25 June 2022 at the Bosbaan regatta course
Peter Sheppard, GB Rowing Team Olympic Pathways Head Coach said: “Many of the athletes selected raced in May at the International Wedau Regatta in Duisburg or will race at Henley in the coming days. This event offers them a further opportunity to develop their international racing experience as we progress through the season.”
The women’s single sculls (W1x) is one event across the weekend but all others will race on Saturday and Sunday in separate events. The travelling athletes are:

The Holland Beker regatta dates back to 1886, and was originally a men’s single sculls championship, for which the prize was the ‘Beker’ (Dutch for cup). The women’s single sculls event was added in 1988. No British woman has yet won the trophy. The men’s event has been won twice by British scullers – Callum Dixon in 2022 and Arthur Everitt of London RC in 1895.
