Increases to British Rowing fees for Members, Clubs and Competitions
After remaining unchanged for five years during the Covid-19 pandemic and the worst of the cost of living crisis, most prices are going up on 1 April 2024
Every year we review our membership and club and competition affiliation prices, taking external factors like inflation into account and assessing whether the various fees are fair and proportionate to all.
Fees last went up in April 2019. Since then, we have decided not to increase fees in order to support the rowing community through the Covid-19 pandemic and during the worst of the cost of living crisis.
We are now increasing club and competition affiliation fees and most membership prices from 1 April 2024. The price of Coach and Umpire memberships has been reduced slightly to reflect the essential contribution that these members make to rowing.
Membership prices from 1 April 2024
RACE – Adult: £70
RACE – Student: £45
RACE – Junior: £ 35
RACE – Adaptive: £35
ROW: £40
COACH: £30
UMPIRE: £30
COMMUNITY: £25
RACE – Overseas (Race Licence only): £15
Renew early and save
Has your membership expired or is it due to expire on or before 31 May 2024? Make the most of the 2023/2024 fees now and renew by 31 March 2024 to take advantage of the current prices.
Remember that you can renew your membership up to two months before it expires and preserve your renewal date.

Affiliation Plus
This is a new affiliation product that includes liability insurance and fundraising support in addition to the benefits of Standard Affiliation – find out more here.

Competition affiliation fees from 1 April 2024
£205/day
Affiliated competitions benefit from a wealth of advice and information to help you run affiliated regattas and head races, including private matches. Competitions also benefit from use of British Rowing’s online entry system, BROE2, and specialist rowing liability insurance cover for running competitions.
