Super Sprint Sunday returns to the British Rowing Indoor Championships for 2025!
The action-packed event will be held in-person as part of FitFest 2025 at the NEC, Birmingham on Sunday, 7 December

Super Sprint Sunday will give competitors the chance to race side-by-side on both days of the British Rowing Indoor Championships (BRIC) weekend, adding to the 2000m, 500m, and timed events held on Saturday.
Building on the success of 2024, entrants can take part in five high-speed challenges for the chance to become Super Sprint Champion. Competitors will also have the opportunity to set new Concept2 British and World Records in the 1-minute sprint, 100 metres, or 1000 metres.
Participants can enter one or multiple of Super Sprint Sunday’s challenges:
- 1-minute sprint
- 100m sprint
- 250m sprint
- 1000m
- The PaceRace
The following categories will be available for each challenge:
- Open/Female (aged 18+)
- Masters 1 (aged 30-59) Open/Female
- Masters 2 (aged 60+) Open/Female
- Adaptive Open/Female
- Junior 1 (aged 11-14) Open/Female
- Junior 2 (aged 15-18) Open/Female
- Team Pairs (aged 18+) – Available for the 1000m and PaceRace
Each winner will become the British Super Sprint Champion for their challenge category.
For 2025, all relay events at BRIC will move to Super Sprint Sunday to join the lineup of sprint events. To meet the rising demand seen in 2024, more race slots will become available, giving more indoor rowers the chance to take part.
Relay races will take place over:
- 4km for adults
- 8 minutes for Juniors and Adaptive
