Britain’s rowers made history at the Paralympics winning three golds and a bronze to finish top of the rowing medal table, and our Olympic rowers’ achievements earned them the same accolade with three golds and two silvers.

With their best ever away Games for Team GB and ParalympicsGB, it is a very proud moment for Britain’s athletes and a time for us to celebrate their outstanding efforts. Minister for Sport Tracey Crouch said: “The achievements of Team GB and ParalympicsGB made the whole country proud so it is only right that we host fitting celebrations to mark their incredible performances in Rio. Our athletes are an inspiration to millions and gave us so many fantastic medal moments that will live long in the memory.”
