St Edward’s, Oxford – Senior Girls Rowing Coach

St Edward’s Oxford has an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and committed Rowing Coach to contribute to the School’s prestigious rowing provision on a temporary basis.

You will work with our Senior Girls Rowing Group, consisting of students in years 11, 12 and 13, where you will coach a range of abilities up to GB Junior level. You will work closely with the Head of Rowing to maximise the enjoyment, participation and success of girls at St Edward’s School, preparing and implementing a range of training programmes to ensure that our students can perform to the best of their abilities.

You will be a committed and flexible individual, with good people skills and the ability to relate well to others. You will possess a level 2 rowing coach qualification, as well as a BR Registered and ARA/BR coaching qualification. Experience in both sculling and sweep oared boats (success as an athlete or coach at national or international level) would also be advantageous. You must be willing to commit to early starts, late finishes, and weekend work, as well as travel to and from events. A valid driver’s license is essential, and the ability to operate a coaching launch is required.

This is a temporary appointment to provide maternity cover and is expected to last for a period of 12 months. The appointment will be kept under review and the duration of the contract is dependent on the return to work of the usual post holder.
