Reading Rowing Club – Multiple Coaching Roles

Reading Rowing Club was founded in 1867. It is a thriving and inclusive Club which caters for rowers and scullers of all ages and abilities and has over 300 members. The current Clubhouse was completed in 1989 close to Caversham Bridge on the River Thames and has recently been refurbished.

We have experienced a growth in membership since COVID and in the last two years we have started to employ paid coaches to work alongside our team of volunteer coaches. This has increased the demand for coaching as we support members to realise their potential and achieve their objectives, whether to compete at an international level or have a more enjoyable row down the river.. We are embarking on the next stage of that journey and looking for additional coaches at an exciting time for the Club. We also continue to welcome members who enjoy rowing and do not necessarily wish to compete.

In order to support our future plans for growth and further development we are currently seeking a number of coaches both voluntary and paid. These can be either part time roles or session coaches.

We are looking to recruit to ideally start in early September and applications must be received by the end of August. If we identify suitable candidates before this time we will look to make appointments earlier and reserve the right to close applications.

We are specifically seeking the following:
