Reading Blue Coat School – Head of Rowing and Boathouse Manager

Reading Blue Coat School seeks an individual with experience of coaching or rowing in high performance crews to lead our rowing programme and boat club.

In this role, you will manage all rowing staff, write and implement a training programme for the senior squad, supervise adaptation of this for younger year groups, organise and lead training camps across the year, manage the boathouse and be responsible for safety and administration of the Boat Club and boathouse.

The ideal candidate will have experience of coaching or rowing in high performance crews, be in a position to increase the standard of rowing at RBCS with the aim of competing in Championship eights and giving the best athletes the opportunity to go for GB selection.

Salary: £40-45,000 per annum

Type: This is a full-time role working 45 hours per week, with hours usually worked 09:30-18:00 Monday to Friday and 07:30-12:30 on Saturdays during term-time (option for a weekday morning off if mutually agreeable), with greater flexibility on how hours are worked during School holidays.
