Barnes Bridge Ladies RC – Part time session coach

Barnes Bridge Ladies Rowing Club is a Tideway rowing club, based in South West London, with a rich history spanning 100 years. The club has a good size active membership and aims to provide women the opportunity to row at every level of club rowing, from Development to Senior/Masters.

Post Covid, we have seen growth and success across our squads with crews finishing top 70 at WEHoRR and qualifying at HWR. We have also had significant success at a Masters level, with wins at Vets Head, Veteran Fours Head and Henley Masters this year.

We are looking to recruit a part time session coach to join our team and support our head coach in outings with our growing competitive crew.

Successful candidates will be required to:

  • Coach 3 water sessions per week (2 x weekday evenings, 1 x weekend morning)
  • Work with the head coach to determine the squad’s focus and approach to the season
  • Work with the coaching/captaincy team to carry on the positive momentum that has been developed within the club over the last few seasons
  • Stay up to date with all British Rowing regulations and training guidelines
  • Accompany the club on their annual training camp (Apr/May dates tbc).

This is an exciting project for someone who is looking to achieve extra experinece working with an ambitious club on the tideway. The successful candidate should be someone who will share the clubs vision and support the coaches,captains and squad members in reaching their maximum potential by offering a positive and enthusiastic environment for us to thrive in.
