King’s Ely – Graduate Rowing Coach

The successful candidate will support in day-to-day running of the Boat Club and lead a Year Group squad as well as supporting the J16-18 programme.

Duties:

Assisting with the evening activities for the School boarding community e.g. Gym/Sports Hall supervision.
Undertaking other duties as reasonably requested by the Director of Sport or other senior staff.
Maintaining professional standards of attendance, punctuality and conduct with other pupils, parents and colleagues.
Oversee and develop a rowing squad as directed by the Head of Rowing.
Organise and run extra-curricular rowing sessions for assigned rowing squad; these include Circuit, Ergometer, Weights and Water sessions.
Organise and Attend all rowing fixtures and events at the Head of Rowing’s discretion.
Assist the Head of Rowing with the administration for Rowing.
Assist the Head of Rowing with Boathouse duties including minor equipment repairs.
Drive minibus/school vehicles for Rowing Events.
Coach and Deliver Rowing games sessions to Year 8 pupils as part of King’s Ely Prep curriculum.
Boarding tutor duties.
