Holly was initially inspired to start rowing after she went with her family to watch the rowing at Eton Dorney during the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Up until that point she’d never really heard or thought about rowing as a sport as she didn’t live near a river but was really keen to give it a go. She joined a rowing club shortly after and the rest is history.

The sport has taken her all across the globe and being given the opportunity to study at the University of Washington, in the United States has meant that she now has friends in multiple different national teams who are always fun to race against!

At the Paris 2024 Olympic Rowing Regatta, Holly won a brilliant bronze in the Women’s eight.

Once she’s finished with rowing Holly sees herself either continuing on in the rowing world through coaching and helping to inspire the next generation, or using her degree in geography to help find ways in which we can talk about and tackle climate change, two areas which she’s passionate about!
