British Rowing – Governance and Integrity Lead

The Governance and Integrity lead is responsible for delivering an extensive range of corporate secretarial and governance services to British Rowing, acting as the primary contact for integrity and grievance matters and leading British Rowing’s Anti-Doping strategy.

What you’ll be doing

Governance
  • Delivering a range of high-quality company secretarial services to British Rowing, its committees and Task and Finish groups and fulfil the role of Company Secretary.
  • Working with the relevant chairs of the boards and committees to plan the annual calendar of work for boards and committees.
  • Providing secretarial support to the regions of British Rowing.
  • Planning and coordinating the Annual General Meeting and any other general meetings, which may include overseeing any voting processes; write the Annual Governance Statement and obtain approval from the Board in advance of the AGM.
Integrity, Grievances and Anti-Doping
  • Being the primary point of contact for key stakeholders such as Interpol, the IOC and UK Sport on integrity matters.
  • Leading and ensuring a strategic oversight of Integrity Policy and key procedures (and implementation).
  • Developing and co-ordinating the delivery of integrity education including the development and introduction of Integrity Leads in clubs.
  • Overseeing the management of disciplinary and grievance cases within the sport.
  • Leading the organisation’s Anti-Doping strategy and implementation of educating and training requirements on an annual basis.

A bit about you

As our Governance and Integrity lead, you will have primary responsibility to deliver high quality company secretarial services and governance support throughout the organisation. You will also oversee British Rowing’s response on all matters relating to Integrity, Grievances and Anti-Doping. You will be a confident team player, with the demonstrated ability to drive projects forward and you will possess impeccable personal and communication skills.
