Webinar Invitation: Competitions and Sustainability
Join us on Wednesday, 13 November 2024 at 7-8pm to share ideas and experience that can help reduce the environmental impact of rowing competitions
Earlier this year, we published our Environmental Sustainability Strategy, which has the aim of, “Empowering the rowing community across Britain to work together to learn, share and develop robust, sustainable practices to protect the sport we love and our planet.”
Since then, one of the areas we’ve been working on is exploring practical ways in which we can make our much-loved competitions as sustainable as possible by reducing their environmental impact.
This interactive webinar is an opportunity to share the knowledge and ideas that we have all been experimenting with and implementing as we strive to make our competitions more sustainable. It will be hosted by:
- Clare Briegal (British Rowing Board Member and RoWindermere Committee member)
- Claudine Pearson (volunteer Sustainability Manager for the 2024 British Rowing Junior and Senior Club Championships, and Stratford upon Avon BC member)
- Rachel Dulai (British Rowing Sustainability Lead and Event Director of the World Rowing Coastal Championships and Beach Sprint Finals 2022).
