The Rowing Foundation exists to provide grants towards the cost of boat equipment or boat refurbishments to support junior and student rowers, and adaptive rowing for all ages. It matches your spending up to a maximum of £4,000 per grant. It is supported by Henley Royal Regatta Charitable Trust.

Equipment grants

Equipment grants are usually awarded for boats, sculls, oars and essential safety equipment.

The Trustees meet three times per year to consider applications received for Equipment Grants. Their next meeting is in late March 2024 and the deadline for submitting applications for this meeting is noon on Monday, 10 March 2025.

Refurbishment grants

This scheme is open to any boat belonging to a UK rowing club which that is used exclusively for Juniors or those in full-time education.

Refurbishment grants are awarded on an ongoing basis so there is no specific deadline for submitting an application.
