UK Sport and Sport England confirm funding for LA 2028 cycle
British Rowing has today received confirmation of funding from both UK Sport and Sport England to drive the success of the GB Rowing Team, increase grassroots participation and inspire social impact across the pathway and at the national training centre in Caversham
British Rowing CEO Alastair Marks said: “Thank you to UK Sport, Sport England and the National Lottery.
“The UK Sport funding sees an increase compared to the Paris cycle which gives us the ability to move into the next cycle with confidence that we can continue to help our brilliant athletes achieve their dreams on the Olympic and Paralympic stage in LA, Brisbane and beyond, supported by our world-class team of coaches and staff.
“In addition, the Sport England funding continues to be of a huge benefit to our sport in helping us establish the pathway for future Olympians and Paralympians while also enabling us to create more and more opportunities for people to enter the sport of rowing.”
