Putney Town Rowing Club is a well-established and vibrant rowing club dedicated to fostering a love for rowing and building a supportive community.
Do you have a passion for masters coaching? We are seeking an experienced and motivated coach to deliver land and water sessions for our Masters Men squad which consists of over 30 athletes. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a committed and friendly squad, helping them achieve their rowing goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured and engaging coaching sessions every Saturday morning (2 x 2 hour session) and Sunday morning (1 x 2 hour session) on the Tideway.
- Provide technical guidance and support to improve crew performance.
- Work collaboratively with the Lead Masters Coach to plan sessions aligned with the squad’s training and racing objectives.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment for the crew.
- Ensure safe navigation and adherence to Tideway-specific rowing rules.
Requirements
- Proven experience coaching rowing, preferably at the Masters or senior level.
- Strong technical knowledge of rowing and sculling techniques.
- Awareness of safety practices on tidal rivers (Tideway-specific knowledge preferred).
- UKCC Level 2 Rowing Coach qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for helping athletes achieve their potential.
