Seb’s career began in the Civil Service working for the Ministry of Defence on international defence policy and planning, and later in the Cabinet Secretary’s private office. Moving to J.P. Morgan, Seb held various business management and strategy roles. After J.P. Morgan, Seb had a role at a fintech start-up before founding a competitor analytics firm serving global banks and strategy consultancies.
Seb began rowing in 1990 while at Clare College, Cambridge and went on to row in the winning 1993 Cambridge lightweight crew. After graduating, Seb was a member of a few clubs in London before joining City of Cambridge RC. After captaining his club for a few years, he joined the Eastern Region Rowing Council. Seb continues to coach and row at the club.
He was elected to the board of British Rowing in November 2023.
