Sebastian (Seb) Devereux

Seb grew up in Chalfont, a small village not too far from south London.

He attended the Chalfont’s Community College where he Studied for his GCSEs but spent most of his time dreaming of becoming a professional athlete. The College offered many sports and he tried everything from football and rugby to kickboxing and gymnastics. Outside of school Seb didn’t spend much time sitting still, instead, you could find him riding his bmx at the skatepark or in the woods on the local trails. He still has his old bike to this day, and when not on the lake, you’re most likely to see him on his bright purple mountain bike on his way to the woods.

Seb first started rowing at 16 when he walked into Marlow rowing club while in search of another new sport to try. Needless to say, he fell head first for the sport and just over a year later he was representing Great Britain for the first time at the Junior World Rowing Championships (2012). He competed in the quad with Tom Barras who he is still training and racing with now.  Even back then, Seb’s eyes were focused on the future with the main goal at the front of his mind being, to represent Great Britain at an Olympic Games.
