Beach Coordinator, England Rowing (Home International Rowing Beach Sprints)
📣 The Role
In the voluntary role of Beach Coordinator, you will form part of the management committee responsible for the organisation of training, selection trials and competition preparation for England Rowing. Your specific role will be to manage the beach environments used by the team for training and competition, coordinating volunteers and advising/supporting with areas relating to safety, boat handling and course setting.
👋 About you
We are looking for a Beach Coordinator who is willing to be hands-on and coordinate boat handling, course setup and safety arrangements for the England Beach Sprint Team. You’ll be an effective communicator able to inspire and enable a range of volunteers to make sure trials and camps run safely.

🚣 About us
We are the governing body for rowing, responsible for supporting grassroots rowing in England and the selection of England Teams for Home International Rowing events and Commonwealth Competitions. We also manage the selection of the GB Rowing Team ready for the Olympics, Paralympics and other international competitions.

🏁 About the Home International Rowing Beach Sprints
The Home International Rowing Beach Sprints is a new event with the four “Home Nations” of England, Scotland, Wales & Ireland competing. The event is building off the rich history of its sister event the Home International Rowing Regatta, which has seen many Olympians racing for their first international representation. We hope the Home International Rowing Beach Sprints will create a clear pathway onto Great Britain and Ireland national teams in the decades to come.

The position of Beach Coordinator, England Rowing (Home International Rowing Beach Sprints) is a voluntary position. As part of our offer to you, you’ll be given British Rowing Coach membership and you’ll be supported through opportunities to gain experiential learning. For example, this may include joining British Rowing Coaches Question Time or access to other professional development. The role is voluntary, reasonable expenses will be covered by British Rowing.
