The Beach Sprints Pathway Coach for England will play a key role in developing a Pathway for English rowers with the potential to excel at Beach Sprints, recruiting them into the format and developing them to a level where they can compete at an international standard.
About you
We are looking for a dynamic individual to work with the England Pathway Manager and with colleagues within the Scotland, Wales and GB Beach Sprints programmes to collectively develop a strategy for promoting the Beach Sprints format to current rowers and those new to the sport.
You’ll be an excellent coach and communicator able to enable, enthuse and inspire the rowing community about the Beach Sprint format and are able to build rapport to create and maintain relationships with a wide range of clubs, coaches and other partners. Experience of working in a successful Coastal Sculling programme is essential and you’ll have excellent organisational skills, arranging and coordinating all the requirements for running national activity, camps and other associated activity. The position of Beach Sprints Pathway Coach – England is a full-time paid role. It offers the opportunity to join our team at an exciting time for coastal sculling and the ‘Beach Sprints’ format. As the host nation of the recent 2022 World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals it is our aim to use this event as a springboard to build a world leading Beach Sprints programme in the lead up to the 2026 Commonwealth Games, 2026 Youth Olympic Games and the potential inclusion into the 2028 Olympic programme.
