British Rowing – Assistant Start Coach (Bath)
British Rowing is looking for an ambitious, up and coming coach to join the Start coaching team at Bath University and Minerva Bath RC. This is an exciting opportunity to develop as a coach working in a world class talent identification and development programme.
About the Role
Start is British Rowing’s national Talent Identification Programme, designed to build the future of the GB Rowing Team by identifying and developing future Olympians. The successful candidate will be based in Bath, and will assist the Senior Start Coach with the day to day running of the Bath Start centre. This includes supporting the identification and coaching of rowers with the potential for future selection for the GB Rowing Team and ultimately Olympic level success.
About You
This is an opportunity for a coach with the willingness to learn and the drive to lay the foundation for young rowers to achieve international levels of performance. It is expected that all applicants will have experience of rowing and/or rowing coaching and hold a minimum of a UKCC Level 2 Rowing Coaching qualification. This should include up to date First Aid and Safeguarding training. As part of the role, you’ll be asked to complete DBS check through British Rowing.
Our Offer
This is a part-time role (FTE between 0.6 and 0.8), so can be combined with an additional coaching role or other employment. The role provides the opportunity to work and develop your coaching within a British Rowing accredited Start centre and will include further opportunities for training and development via appropriate courses and workshops.
