British Rowing – Chief Executive Officer
British Rowing is the national governing body for the sport of rowing, in all its forms on the water and indoors. It is responsible for participation in and the development of rowing in England, the training and selection of individual rowers and crews representing Great Britain and represents rowing’s interests with a range of sporting bodies and partner organisations. The sport has over 200,000 participants and the GB Rowing Team has a proud history as one of GB’s most successful Olympic sports, producing World and Olympic Champions from across the UK.
The role of the Chief Executive Officer
- Work closely with the Board to develop and execute British Rowing’s strategy, supporting and growing the sport of rowing from grass roots to elite performance.
- Lead the senior management of British Rowing across Performance, Participation, Commercial, Communications, Finance, HR & IT, and manage relationships with major funding partners.
- Provide overall leadership to British Rowing in charge of daily operations.
- Maintain and develop strong working relationships with British Rowing’s diverse set of stakeholders, both within sports governance nationally and internationally, and among the sports clubs, members and volunteers.
