British Rowing – Executive Assistant to Director of Performance

As Executive Assistant to the Director of Performance you will be at the heart of one of Great Britain’s most successful Olympic and Paralympic sports.

This new post will suit an experienced and enthusiastic Executive Assistant with the skills to shape the role and best support the Director of Performance’s leadership of British Rowing’s 2028 and 2032 ambitions. Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage and monitor Director of Performance’s inbox, prioritising activity, co-ordinating responses and responding on their behalf.
  • Provide proactive diary management, scheduling, and coordination of meetings for the Director of Performance.
  • Act as the first point of contact for staff and external stakeholders, ensuring professional and timely communication.
  • Draft correspondence, reports, and presentations as required.
  • Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and briefing documents for key meetings.
  • Assist in expense processing, and financial administration, linking with the Performance Investment and Business Manager as required.
  • Assist with HR processes within the Performance Directorate including the administration of job descriptions, organograms and recruitment process.

We’re looking for an experienced executive assistant, personal assistant with the following skills:

Essential Criteria
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and effectively prioritise ever changing workloads and schedules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience working in elite sports, particularly within Olympic or Paralympic programmes.
  • Knowledge of the UK sporting landscape and governance structures.
  • Experience working with Google Workspace.

Salary: Up to £40k pro rata based on experience

Type: 0.6FTE (24hrs per week) with the expectation that the hours be flexed across the full working week
