British Rowing Safeguarding and Integrity Case Officer

📣A bit about the role

You will be a part of the Safeguarding and Integrity Team and working alongside the Lead Safeguarding Officer, will be responsible for Case Management of safeguarding concerns and disciplinary and grievances.

We’re a small team and so we might also ask you to do other bits from time to time.

👋 A bit about you

You will have previous experience as a Case Officer in case management (in safeguarding would be advantageous) maintaining records and following the appropriate procedures depending on the type of concern that is raised.

You will know how to work with multiple stakeholders, manage referrals and be able to advise clubs on how to manage their own cases.

You will have excellent communication skills, good self-initiative, and the ability to work with a small team.

Previous experience working in a sport sector/national governing body will be advantageous but it is not essential.

Our passion is rowing. We are the governing body for rowing, responsible for supporting grassroots rowing in England and getting the GB Rowing Team ready for the Olympics, Paralympics and other international competitions.

We are a membership organisation with over 33,000 individual members and we are looking to support over 550 affiliated clubs and 220 affiliated events. We cover all types of rowing whether it’s on the river, in the gym (on a rowing machine) or even on the sea and so a key aim is to use our content to help engage the wider rowing community.

We have an inspiring group of elite athletes who are all engaged and keen to get involved in promoting their sport.

You’ll be based in our head office alongside the river in Hammersmith, London but we have an Agile Working Policy so regular work from home is possible.

You’ll be employed full-time with a salary of around £28,000 each year.
