British Rowing – Technical Efficiency Specialist
British Rowing is seeking a World Class Technical Efficiency Specialist to bridge the gap between performance engineering and front-line coaching. The successful candidate will have a high level coaching background and work with the Performance Engineer to further develop and ultimately embed biomechanical innovations with the potential to significantly improve capture and use of data in on water rowing coaching. This post will be primarily aligned to the Men’s Olympic Sweep squad.

Application criteria:
Essential
- World or Olympic medal winning rowing coach
- Evidence of delivering an applied biomechanical project in rowing
- Evidence of working with men’s Sweep rowers through a competitive campaign (eg being able to evidence how biomechanical interventions have been used to develop a rower or group of rowers over the course of an Olympic campaign or similar multi-year project)
- Advanced understanding of biomechanical instrumentation and analysis in rowing
- Proven ability to apply biomechanical principles to medal winning rowing delivery
- Evidence of innovation in a rowing setting relating to equipment or biomechanical interventions
Desirable
- Strong communication skills in a coaching or coach education setting
- Ability to input to the clear presentation/visualisation of data for rowers and coaches
