BROC/BSF Organising Committee Vacancies

It is a very exciting time for coastal rowing, and the Organising Committee (OC) of the British Rowing Offshore Championships and Beach Sprint Finals is currently looking for two new members. We are looking for the below roles to be covered:

  1. Volunteer Manager
  2. Water Safety Advisor

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to gain some hands-on experience in the fields of sporting events organisation in the run up to and during the Championships. The successful applicants will work with the BROC Organising Committee made up of a mixture of volunteers and British Rowing staff and help in the coordination of the annual competition.

This volunteer role is the ideal opportunity for a current student, a graduate or someone wishing to get involved in sports events.

No formal qualifications are required however applicants should have a positive approach, excellent verbal communication skills and a belief in the importance of competitive sport.

Coastal rowing and Beach Sprints is a different form of rowing to the traditional flat-water  rowing, and therefore any experience of coastal sports such as sailing, surfing or lifeguarding, would be an advantage.

Expenses

Although this is a voluntary role, reasonable expenses will be paid as per the British Rowing expenses policy, and accommodation provided during the event. The successful candidate must be available for the weekend of the Championships.
