Cantabrigian Rowing Club – Lead Coach for 6th Form Rowing
As Cantabrigian Rowing Club continues to grow, we expanding the junior coaching team with a Lead Coach for 6th Form Rowing.
The Lead Coach for 6th Form Rowing will work with teens predominantly from a large state sixth-form college with which the club has long-standing connections. The coach will need to be available on Wednesday afternoons during the school term.
This role offers the chance to inspire and mentor the next generation of rowers, although the detailed nature of the role will be built around the successful volunteer and their available time, so we do not have a specific set of requirements. Most of the activity takes place in Cambridge operating out of our own boathouse.
Founded in 1950, Cantabrigian Rowing Club is a completely volunteer-run club that operates out of its own boat house Cambridge on the banks of the River Cam. It has a total of over 300 members and a lively junior rowing program that offers rowing to local children including a specific involvement with a large state sixth-form college. Our current Junior Development Officer will assist in the on-boarding of the new volunteer. We believe this offers a unique and fulfilling opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our junior rowing program. If you might be interested in this or any others of these important roles, we would love to hear from you!
