City of Cambridge Rowing Club – Paid session coach
City of Cambridge Rowing Club is looking for a talented coach who is looking to work with top level athletes aiming for HRR/HWR and GB U19 trials.
Since covid, the club has been on an upwards trajectory, with key results including:
- Consistency qualifying 13 athletes to HRR, with at least one boat winning a round in the last three years
- Regularly qualifying boats at HWR; in 2024 this was an Aspirational quad that won a round, and a Dev 4+ that qualified
- Consistent top 60 finishes at the Men’s and Women’s head of the river races
- Junior crews making B and C finals at Nat Schools as well as representing the Eastern Region at the Junior Interregional Regatta
- Multiple junior athletes partaking in GB trials
- 10 boats in the top division of Cambridge Town Bumps.
The club is therefore looking for someone to work with our top two eights of each gender and our top end juniors under the tutelage of our Director of Rowing through to the Men’s Eights Head, at which point the arrangement can be extended. We would hope the successful candidate could coach on a regular basis both weekend mornings with further options to coach midweek.
In return the candidate would be paid commensurate with their experience and reasonable expenses.
