Content Developer: GB Rowing Team Pathway
📣A bit about the role
You’ll be helping us find the GB Rowing Team stars of the future by designing and producing campaigns to attract potentially talented athletes to our talent identification programmes. We’re looking for someone who’s excited about telling the story of the diverse group of athletes on our talent identification pathways.
There’s a huge variety to rowing and so your days will be varied too – this could include:
- Filming at one of our World Class Start camps
- Designing a campaign and video to reach out to new audiences
- Telling the story of one of our Paralympians
👋 A bit about you
You’ll be excellent with a camera and a whizz at Premiere Pro and confident creating contemporary graphic overlays on After Effects. You’ll be comfortable producing, filming and editing. We need someone who understands social media, what people want to see and how video can help drive our messages and objectives.
You need to have a can-do attitude and be someone who will make things happen. You need to be creative, highly motivated and forward-thinking – someone who gets excited and inspired when they see a good piece of content. You’ll need to be comfortable developing strong relationships with the athletes in our pathways to draw out their stories.
If you’re good at graphic design that would be a bonus and whilst it will help if you’re passionate about sport, it’s not essential.
🚣 A bit about us
Our passion is rowing. We are the governing body for rowing, responsible for supporting grassroots rowing in England and getting the GB Rowing Team ready for the Olympics, Paralympics and other international competitions.
We are a membership organisation with around 30,000 individual members and we are looking to support over 550 affiliated clubs and 220 affiliated events. We cover all types of rowing whether it’s on the river, at home or in the gym (on a rowing machine) or even on the sea and so a key aim is to use our content to help engage the wider rowing community.
The GB Rowing Team has won gold medals at every Olympics between 1984 and 2016 and every Paralympics since rowing was introduced in 2008. We have an inspiring group of elite athletes who are all engaged and keen to get involved in promoting their sport.
🙌 What we offer
You’ll be employed full-time with a salary of around £24,000 per year. You’ll also get some great perks as part of the team at British Rowing including 25 days holiday each year and free staff kit.
