Falcon Boat Club Oxford – Part-Time/Freelance Junior Head Coach

Fantastic opportunity to develop and deliver your own training program tailored to support the introduction of rowing to complete novices and play a key role in the growth of junior athletes through coaching and competitive activity, enabling them to be the best they can be whatever their ability.

Founded in 1869, Falcon Boat Club is based on the banks of the river Isis in Oxford, adjacent to Donnington Bridge. Our newly build £1.4 million boat house has a well-equipped fleet comprising of in excess of 45 boats – both sculling and sweep categories of various weights.

Falcon plays an important part in the community, providing a place for locals to come together, make friendships, learn new skills, and keep fit. It offers one of the few organized ways of getting city people onto the river in Oxford.

The junior section of Falcon Boat Club (FBC) currently has a large and successful Junior squad that continues to grow and improve, providing the opportunity for young people from 11 years of age to enjoy the river and benefit from the club’s place in our Oxford community.

As Falcon Junior Head Coach you will have a proven record of coaching juniors to a high standard and have an in-depth understanding of how to develop young athletes to reach their full potential. With the authority to recruit Junior Coaches as required to reinforce your training programme and as a valued member of the Falcon Rowing Committee, this is your opportunity to make a difference to young people and support the Oxford community.
