GB Beach Sprints Team Safety & Course Coordinator
British Rowing is looking for a dynamic individual to join our expanding team supporting the GB Beach Sprints programme.
Beach Sprints is an exciting new rowing format, which has recently been confirmed as a new sport at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Australia, and is under consideration for inclusion in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
We are looking for an individual to play a vital role in the delivery of the Beach Sprints programme, managing the beach environment to ensure all training, trials and competitions are run in a safe, well organised and effective manner. In particular we are looking for someone with the skills and experience to coordinate safety cover and manage the rowing course, as well as providing advice around wind and tide conditions which may impact on the rowers performance.

About You
You will be an individual, who enjoy working as part of a team and can use your skills and experiences to help develop the GB Beach Sprints team programme at an exciting time for the sport. No experience of rowing is required. You will have good knowledge of working in a maritime environment and be keen to play a role in supporting young people to achieve their ambitions of competing for Great Britain.
About Us
We are the national governing body for rowing, responsible for supporting grassroots rowers in England, and the selection of England and GB Teams ready for international competition including the Olympics, Paralympics and World Championships. This role will play a vital part in the successful development of the Beach Sprints format and the future success of the team.
Our Offer
As a part of the GB Rowing Beach Sprints Team, you’ll be given British Rowing membership and you’ll be supported with opportunities to develop your skills and experiences alongside our British Rowing staff and other volunteers. The role is voluntary, reasonable expenses will be covered by British Rowing.
