Gordon’s School – Head of Rowing

Gordon’s School, near Woking in Surrey, is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Head of Rowing with a clear philosophy for the development of rowing for February 2024.

As the Head of Rowing, you will be required to oversee the organisation and promotion of rowing at all levels and ages. Responsibilities include ensuring all training sessions are attended and are conducive to excellent performance, arranging entry to regattas and competitions and supporting and challenging the Rowing Coaches to ensure optimal student performance.

The successful candidate will have experience of coaching rowing within schools or clubs with an excellent knowledge of long-term development practices for young rowers and crews. Ideally you will have experience of developing others, including the development of other rowing coaches.

Gordon’s School is a Boarding and Day School and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment – applicants must be willing to undergo appropriate screening including a DBS check.

Salary: £16,500 - £33,000 per annum

Type: This role is part time but could be full time to include Cover Supervision
