Imperial College University – Rowing Programme Manager

We are currently recruiting for to this position on a fixed term, five-year appointment.

What you would be doing

Predominantly based at the Boat House in Putney and reporting to the Head of Sports Development, you will be required to oversee the rowing programme at Imperial College London including management and use of the Boat House facility, staffing and delivery of coaching.

You will be the key interface between rowing at Imperial and internal and external users.

As a part of the senior leadership team the post holder will be expected to deliver a high level of service to users of the Boat House while supporting the delivery of the physical activity strategy at Imperial.

What we are looking for

Someone who will manage all rowing and associated activities at the Boat House with the aim to deliver a long-term performance strategy related to rowing and support the departmental strategy. We require an experienced manager to ensure all health & safety, equipment and vehicle checks are completed and recorded and all associated reporting are submitted timely, in line with Imperial, British Rowing, Thames Regional Rowing Council and workplace H&S regulations.

You will need to have a British Rowing Coaching Qualification and RYA Power Boat Licence. You will need to have proven experience of managing buildings and facilities in line with H&S legislation, experience of line management and the development of coaching staff. In addition, experience working the in the sport sector and a detailed understanding of associated operations of sports clubs, and preferably rowing.

The position is available on a full time, fixed-term five-year contract. Applicants must be willing to work at other locations, early mornings, evenings, and weekends (on a 5 out of 7-day contract).
