Kingston Rowing Club – Club Coach

Kingston Rowing Club are looking for a club coach to support development of our young adult athletes to prepare them for joining our senior squads.

Background

KRC is one of the oldest rowing clubs in the world. Our membership is close to 300 active rowers with a full range of squads. Founded in 1858, the club has a strong reputation for success, both on the domestic and international rowing scene. We are a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) and aspires to be an integral part of the community of Kingston upon Thames. Our striking racing strip – scarlet hoops on white – is one of the most recognised and respected in the world of rowing.
We compete at Henley Royal Regatta, Women’s Henley and Masters Henley as well a full programme of Head Races and other regattas.

Responsibilities

You will be working under the guidance of our head coaches, running sessions for our novice, student, and development squads. Training programmes will be delivered in close collaboration with the senior coaches, with the aim to encourage and prepare athletes for competing at HRR and HWR as part of our senior squads.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous coaching experience or experience rowing at a senior level
  • UKCC Level 2 (if you don’t yet have this we can arrange for you to attend the course)
