MCBC – Novices and Lower Boats Coach

Merton College Boat Club are looking for a novices coach for Michaelmas 2022 with the potential to become a coach for lower boats in Hilary and Trinity 2023.

MCBC is a competitive boat club looking to train up a cohort of 25-40 novices next year. Last year our female novices came 2nd in Christchurch Regatta (the novice regatta at the end of Michaelmas term) and we hope to continue this success with the incoming novices.

The role as novices coach would likely involve up to five weekday mornings, one or two evening tank sessions and a weekend session each week. However, there would be flexibility in the role and we would be willing to coordinate with you as to which times work best. We would also consider splitting the time between two coaches.

You must be free from October to end of November and preferably have the potential to become lower boats coach in Hilary and Trinity 2023.

Pay will be dependent on experience. Experience in coaching novices highly desirable and experience offering coaching to coxes also desirable.
