Putney Town RC – Senior Men’s Coach (Paid)

A Senior Men’s coach to take the PTRC Men’s squad to the next level, working with a range of athletes to win at local regattas and compete at larger events.

Putney Town Rowing Club, based on the south side of Chiswick Bridge, is looking to hire a Coach for the Senior Men’s squad for the remainder of the 23-24 season. The squad has been built up over the last couple of years to a point of ~16 athletes plus coxes, and requires a dedicated coach to continue the development of the program as we enter racing season.

Coached sessions are Saturday and Sunday mornings on the water (double each day), with a weekday evening (flexible) land training which can become another water later in the year. The role is paid, with a budget of 5 sessions (10 hours) a week, plus training camps and race days on top.

The ideal candidate would be happy to work with athletes from a range of abilities, to help bring a cohesive squad together capable of winning at local races and competing at larger events also. They must either have the British Rowing L2 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent) or be working towards it to satisfy our insurance. RYA L2 and prior Tideway coaching/experience is a benefit, but is not essential.
