Sports Scientist – Women, GB Rowing Team
GBRT is searching for a multi-skilled, hard working practitioner to fill the role of Sports Scientist. The successful candidate will support the world’s best rowers in the training environment, monitoring sessions, collecting data and supporting the analysis of on water performance. We are looking for a hard worker who will be an embedded support team member of the women’s squad, turning their hand to a variety of day to day tasks in support of athletes and coaches.
Job Purpose:
To support the delivery of physiological and biomechanical monitoring, training load capture, data management and equipment maintenance that enable the GBRT to deliver its performance potential at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide support to the GBRT Olympic Women’s programme coaches and rowers with land and water-based monitoring.
- Complete data entry, analysis and feedback of routine training information.
- Maintain physiology & biomechanics equipment.
