Twickenham Rowing Club – Development Squad Coach
Twickenham Rowing Club is looking for a dedicated and dynamic Development Squad Coach. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our development squad, which includes both current members and graduates from our Learn to Row program. Your primary focus will be on cultivating the skills and fitness necessary to prepare these rowers for progression to our senior and masters squads, as well as introducing them to competitive racing.
Squad Goals
- Develop rowers for future integration into senior and masters squads.
- Introduce and implement a structured training program.
- Prepare rowers for competitive racing.
- Improve technical skills on both land and water.
- Build a strong fitness foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Director of Rowing to design and implement a structured training plan that meets the needs of the development squad.
- Lead 2 weekly coaching sessions during the racing season. Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
- Collaborate closely with the Captain, Director of Rowing, and Squad Leader to ensure the squad’s objectives align with the broader goals of the club.
- Provide continuous feedback to help squad members reach their personal and team targets.
