The URA programme is a joint venture between University of Aberdeen and Robert Gordon University with support from Scottish Rowing. The URA programme has supported multiple GB under 23 and senior internationals over the past 10 years and as the programme is at a key stage of its development we are now looking for a talented, ambitious and experienced coach to continue the journey!
We are looking for someone who is driven to create a performance culture and has the skillset to recruit, develop and retain high level student athletes to achieve performance success.
The successful candidate will be required to have strong communication skills, the ability to build excellent relationships with a variety of stakeholders and will have strong knowledge and understanding of the Scottish/British rowing landscape.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a Head Coach to play a key part in the strategic development of the rowing programme and we are looking for an innovative, reliable, self-starter who has a track record of helping rowers achieve their potential. The role would suit an experienced assistant coach from an established programme who is looking for an opportunity to lead their own rowing programme.
The post will be a part of an experienced team of University Sport staff and will benefit from the opportunities available from being part of a Sport Development team. As well as this, the coach will benefit from a strong support network through Scottish Rowing and will receive valuable input to ensure that they continue to develop their coaching skills.
If you are searching for an exciting new opportunity and are motivated to support students to achieve performance rowing success then please do not hesitate to apply. More information about this role can be found in the job description.
Coaches who would like to have an informal conversation about the role prior to application are welcome to make contact with Hannah Leslie, Robert Gordon University Head of Sport ([email protected]) or Lee Boucher, Scottish Rowing Head of Performance Pathway ([email protected]) to arrange a time for a call.
