Sport England Return to Play survey
Sport England Club Matters are exploring how participants and volunteers in England feel about returning to sport and physical activity
We know that the Coronavirus pandemic and lockdown restrictions have had a huge impact on people’s ability to participate in and volunteer to support rowing in club and group environments. That’s why we’re getting involved with the Sport England Club Matters national surveys on returning to activity and returning to volunteering.
We’re asking anyone who was a participant or volunteer in rowing before Covid-19 to take part in these national surveys so that we can understand their feelings and views about the return of sport and activity in England.
The key benefits of filling out the survey include:
- Helping us to help you – By getting lots of responses, we’ll be able to access information about how people are feeling and what support they need to return. In turn, we can pass this on to clubs and groups to help with their planning, communications and delivery.
- Understanding different groups of people – The survey will ask about how people are thinking and feeling about the return to sport and activity in England, but will also ask for helpful demographic information like age group, gender and disability to build a national understanding of how different groups are feeling and would prefer to be supported.
- Getting your voice heard – Every rowing club and organisation is different. By encouraging as many of your members, participants and volunteers to take part as possible, you can make sure their unique concerns and views form part of the national picture.
We hope you can see the value of being involved in the survey and adding your views to the national dataset.
